13 12 2007In the comments to the last post I said that Charter Amendment 1 had passed with 61% of the vote, but I was wrong. It actually passed with 67%, and I apologise. This is a screenshot of the PDF the Audiors office put out for that year (click for the bigger version):
I had divided the ‘Yes’ votes circled by the total votes cast (also circled). The actual number of votes cast for or against that amendment was a bit lower:

Here’s a little experiment to try out; next time you’re standing in line, at the grocery store or the local bigbox, ask the person next to you which county council district they live in. Try it a few times and see how many people can answer without hesitation.

Steve, would a good follow up question be, “did you vote in the last odd year election?” There may be a correlation.
